Light House

The Lighthouse Extension

A striking architectural addition, The Lighthouse appears as a modern UFO gently resting atop an existing structure, symbolically bridging the historical maritime identity of the Øresund Sea with contemporary living. This extension reimagines the lighthouses dotting the coastline, now overlooking the very waters that inspired its form.

Internally, a spiraling staircase anchors the design, weaving through both the old and new structures. Like a growing vine, the staircase serves as a unifying element, guiding inhabitants across four floors and culminating at the roof—a verdant oasis of plants and greenery. This rooftop sanctuary not only frames panoramic sea views but also embraces nature as an integral part of life, blending the industrial sleekness of the extension with ecological sensitivity.

Through its unique design, The Lighthouse celebrates the synergy of past and future, earth and sky, architecture and environment.
