We are pleased to share the recent renovation of a small apartment, in a 1970s building in Nordhavn. This project combines upcycled materials - a wooden floor from a:gain ( @again.products) and other upcycled bathroom fittings - to custom made plywood furniture, with a colorful wooden oil for a warm and playful finish.
All the existing walls were preserved, but the layout was completely reimagined to move the kitchen and dining room to the south, providing natural light and direct access to the garden.
The living room and bedroom were combined into a cozier area with a custom design that allows them to be separated without fully dividing the small space, instead letting natural light filter through wall openings.
The layout offers views into other rooms, creating a sense of spaciousness while still maintaining a feeling of intimacy.

This renovation is part of a broader initiative of custom home renovation in collaboration with Aiming Spaces to explore how architectural services can be made more accessible to a wider range of people. This collaboration is focusing on rethinking how we can offer architectural solutions to clients with either smaller budgets, low square meter or complicated layouts, and how solutions can be found for a broader audience.
